A lifelong entrepreneur, Kirk has been involved in the business world since childhood. At age 14, he started a successful tour company and became the youngest accredited travel agency owner in the nation. He also hosted his own TV show.

Upon graduating with honors from the University of Southern California, Kirk became an award-winning television news anchor and business reporter. He regularly interviewed top CEOs, politicians (including several U.S. and foreign presidents), celebrities and other newsmakers. His stories on all aspects of business appeared regularly on CNN Headline News and ABC-affiliate stations around the country.

After leaving broadcasting, Kirk moved into senior-level positions in marketing and investment research at several leading financial services companies. He is also the founding editor of Wall Street Insider, an investment newsletter, and has authored numerous investment books, including Wizards of Wall Street, The Market Masters, Growing Rich with Growth Stocks, Value Investing with the Masters and Buying Mutual Funds for Free. In addition, he created and wrote the popular Wall Street’s Picks and Mutual Fund Investor’s Guide series of annually updated books.

In recent years, Kirk has written a number of bestselling books showing how to create a competitive advantage through marketing, customer service and employee loyalty. His titles have explored the best practices of such leading companies as Enterprise Rent-A-Car, JetBlue, Build-A-Bear Workshop, Trader Joe’s, Krispy Kreme and Avon Products.

His latest book, Driving Loyalty, contains a proven formula for delivering exceptional customer service, creating a high-performing work environment, building strong brands, marketing effectively online and off, and, in turn, powering overall performance. It is based on the principles of Enterprise Holdings, which owns the Enterprise, National and Alamo car rental brands.
